A New Hub
IB-AC6405-C is an independent USB 3.0 HUB with Type-C™ connector to host PC. The slim design and integrated USB 3.0 cable makes it perfect for Mac or PC-Notebooks on the go. You can expand four USB 3.0 Type-A interfaces to your PC or Notebook. A 5 V DC interface is provided, so that you can connect an optional power supply (5 V/2 A, not included) for external USB-devices with high power consumption.
The New Standard
USB 3.0 Type-C ports have two distinct advantages over the existing forms. They are smaller and therefore ideal for thin laptops and mobile devices and it is no longer necessary to insert the connector in a particular orientation. It always fits and thus saves the user a lot of small annoyances when connecting devices.
No More Slots?
If you want to use your existing USB 3.0 devices on the latest mobile devices and laptops with a USB Type-C port this compact hub is a quick help. It uses a single USB 3.0 Type-C port on its own and creates four additional Type-A ports. Problem solved!
Additional Power Supply?
The hub provides a connection for an optional AC adapter when many devices are connected with a high power requirement. And best of all: the integrated USB connection cable can not be removed, so it can't get lost. This makes it the perfect Companion on the road.
• 4x USB 3.0 Type-A Ports (up to 5Gbps).
• Power supply support - For power intensive USB devices.

You've probably read the USB Tekspek, and perhaps your intrigue, or product interest, has lead you to look up Firewire as well. The two are similar in some respects, particularly some of the products that use the two technologies. However, Firewire has its differences, which means it has both benefits and drawback when compared to USB. This Tekspek will look at Firewire and also look at it with respect to USB.

In computing terms, system buses are used to connect various components to the motherboard’s core logic and, often, to each other. Modern PCs run with a multitude of high-speed buses ranging from the interconnects between, say, the chipset and the CPU, graphics card, memory, and peripherals.
