What were the initial objectives for the solution Scan installed?

The media wall system had to be simple and easy to use, with a decent GUI and small in terms of server rack space. We had a lot of kit being installed in our new server room and we could not afford for a whole rack of media wall equipment. The Userful server is really compact for what it does.

How did our team help with implementation?

As soon as we engaged with Scan they were very useful and gave us all the information we needed to plan our install. They were available at all stages to jump on phone calls and answers questions etc.. from our in house tech andand building team.

Who was the target audience for the installation?

The main target audience are consumers passing the store and also shopping within the store. The numerous screens in different locations around the store provide a platform for key messaging. With our young consumers, attractive branding is key to decision making as almost 80% of the purchasing decisions are made at POP (Point of Purchase).

Very positive - everyone loves it. It catches the eye and interest of people passing by and provides a brilliant insight into the breadth of work we deliver.

The system is robust and extremely easy to manage. It just works. The setup and config of the screens is also very straight forward.

What were the initial objectives for the solution Scan installed?

Our initial objective was to find a solution that would give us a flexible and reactive solution to promote offers and key brands throughout the store. Static banners easily ripped and looked tired quickly. Therefore the installation by Scan, not only improves our readiness to offers, but also provided a digital media platform for fragrance brand advertising.

This is the centrepiece of our new reception area, and has to have impact and wow factor. The audience can be anyone from ITV talent to our CEO but on a day to day basis its the ITV Group Marketing teams based at Grays Inn Road, London

Although we are in the early stages of implementation, the installation at a minimum has met the main objective we set out with. The screens have had an impressive design impact on the store and they definitely add a wow factor. Further analysis will be done on the impact from a revenue point of view.

In the heart of Manchester’s Arndale Centre, working towards The Fragrance Shop’s goal of creating a dynamic and striking display for passers-by, The Scan Digital Signage team designed and implemented a 4x4 video wall.
